I plan on discussing at length selected seasons of Saturday Night Live. This will be a little different than a normal SNL episode review because they’ll be a bit more in depth, taking into account the individual episodes, the cast, and other factors such as whether the show was on a hot streak or any behind-the-scenes changes that occurred during the year. I’m also going to assemble a list of ten notable sketches from that season; not necessarily a “best-of” but anything that most clearly defines the character of the season.
My first season I will be discussing is 1981-82, the first season produced by Dick Ebersol and, IMO, the most interesting.
